Resident Evil 2 Running on a NETBOOK

July 31st, 2010 No comments

****READ FIRST**** This is a requested video (requested by Gradualdime) showing Resident evil 2 on a Netbook. Not Notebook, NETBOOK. You know, the newest ones? This is a Dell Inspiron mini netbook with 1 GB of RAM, and little more. Since there’s no disk drive on a netbook, I had to use MagicISO to run the game directly off the ISO…. I think that’s why it acts so odd when I try to load/save games. I don’t know, but I’ll keep you updated and tell you when I get it working. One moar thing: WHAT THEN, ISSAC, WHAT THEN?!?!?! :)

ASUS N10J-A1 running ArmA- Into Enemy Territory

July 4th, 2010 No comments

A 9-minute video showing ArmA’s Into Enemy Territory mission played on ASUS N10J-A1 (ultraportable / notebook / netbook … whatever you call it!). Machine running on battery, non-overclocked CPU & GPU, default nVidia drivers. I completed the mission with help from a self-modified ‘bin.pbo’ file. I recorded this using a Sony DSC-S85 digital camera. Original video is 320×240 pixels @ 25 frames per second so pardon if you see a lot of annoying woozy movements or vertiginous frames in the YouTube-processed video. You can download the uncut MPG video using the link below… www.mediafire.com ArmA version: 1.14.5256 Campaign: Armed Assault Mission name: Into Enemy Territory Character: Regular under pseudo-God mode ASUSTek’s webpage includes the N10J under the ‘notebook’ category. Elsewhere on the internet, the N10J is considered a ‘netbook’. I prefer to call it just an ‘ultraportable’; suffice my basic computing and gaming on the go needs. .
